KMJ Foundation offers an exciting range of volunteering opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds.
We aim to provide a wide range of health care services to local people and with the support of volunteers we can continue to make a real difference to the lives of the people in the community.
What roles do we have?
There are many ways that you can support KMJ Foundation as a volunteer.
Some of the current roles we are seeking to fulfil include:
1. Fundraising Volunteers
2. Befriender volunteers
3. Publicity and promotion volunteers
4. Befrienders (telephone, face to face or email)
5. Volunteer Coordinators
6. Administration and clerical volunteers
7. Bereavement support
8. Volunteer drivers
9. Drop in volunteers
We will always try and place volunteers in a role that is suitable to their interests and skills and there is a role for everyone. If there an area you are particularly interested in that is not listed, please get in touch to discuss other opportunities.
How much time do you have to give?
There is no minimum number of hours that you have to give to us. Where possible we will tailor the role to you and your availability, whether that be once a day or once a month. volunteering@kmjfoundationcio.co.uk
Current vacancies Fundraising Volunteers
KMJ Foundation need fundraising volunteers to help us apply for grants from Charitable Trusts and Foundations – These are organisations with charity status who do not carry out their own charitable services but instead provide funds to other charities for their work.
Volunteer Training
All volunteers will receive training to provide them with all the skills they need to feel confident and capable in their volunteering roles.
All volunteers will undergo training in key areas including:
• Safeguarding adults and children
• Health and safety in the workplace
• Equality and diversity
• COSHH awareness
• Fire safety awareness
• Lone working Information governance
• Non-clinical moving and handling
All volunteers will undergo a DBS and a reference check as well as a face-to-face interview before beginning in their role.
Donating to Our Charity
Your support, donations and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve the way we can run our services. All donations will go back into the organisation for youth personal development, peer support and Training and volunteers.
